Land and Lot Acquisition

We use our long standing relationships with local real estate professionals and land owners to help you find the perfect lot, and then we work with you to ensure the site fits your needs. To confirm your desired project is feasible we'll do everything from bringing in consultants (such as soil scientists and landscape architects) to reviewing covenants, restrictions and much more. Mike Tinsley serves as our Broker-in-charge.

Home Design

A third generation local custom builder, Tinsley and Company has built strong working relationships with the area's premier architects, designers and trade contractors. We'll provide introductions to these industry professionals, matching the best fit for your proposed style and needs. Once we are retained, we will collaborate closely with your architect to help create a custom home that fulfills goals for your function, design and cost.

Specifications Development

It's the details that separate our extraordinary new home experience from others. Your Project Coordinator will create a comprehensive, all-inclusive Specifications Catalog representing every component of the project-plumbing fixtures, cabinets, appliances, finish carpentry, paint colors and more. These specifications will be managed through our web-based construction management system, CoConstruct.

Budget and Schedule Development

Your Project Coordinator will obtain subcontractor and vendor bids based on your approved Specifications, and then confirm the overall budget for your project. Once the building permit has been issued you'll receive a Decision Deadline Schedule. This keeps the process from becoming overwhelming, and allows the build schedule to remain on track.

Project Management

As construction ramps up, your Project Manager will use CoConstruct to track all aspects of your project, giving you the ability to see exactly where things stand. Once logged into CoConstruct, you will have the ability to monitor daily construction progress, budgets, specifications and communication related to the project.

Home Construction

Tinsley and Company handles all aspects of construction, from serving as the point of contact for all subcontractors, consultants, vendors and municipal inspectors to resolving issues as they arise. Construction will be overseen by your Project Manager, who will be on site daily ensuring all work is done to specifications, using the highest quality building materials and techniques of application.

Project Completion

Our in-depth project close-out process includes a detailed walk-through to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of each component of your new home. Upon move-in you will receive a Comprehensive Close-Out Package with copies of manuals and warranties.

On-Going Care

Your relationship with Tinsley and Company does not stop on your move-in day. You'll enjoy a full-coverage warranty during the first year after your home's completion. A copy of the National Association of Home Builders Residential Construction Performance Guidelines will be provided to help determine performance guidelines and resultant corrective measures in the event of a product or workmanship defect.
